I also tried to drop the dependency on devel/autoconf for
astro/boinc-astropulse, by patching configure directly [1], removing the
call to _autosetup in the pre-configure target and changing the
USE_AUTOTOOLS line to "USE_AUTOTOOLS=aclocal libtool" but that ended up
in Makefile.in not being generated.  But according to the Porters
Handbook [2] this should be possible?
