What I have been able to do is use the boot floppy or fbsdboot to boot off wd1... It would be very convenient to have a fbsdboot which works like loadlin... (a linux dos-based loader). Also, when I have the kernel on the dos partition (which is how I use linux) I have all types of problems with programs that use kernel symbols (like ps). I just got system commander, however it doesn't like on-track drives for non-dos parititions (the solution may be a small freebsd slice on wd0 with a larger one on wd1). -- marty leisner@sdsp.mc.xerox.com Member of the League for Programming Freedom
