Yeah, but with regard to the prospects of heterogeneous networks we cannot
stick our head in the sand and plainly ignore other frametypes, at least in my
opinion...

Care to elaborate on Novell's breaking of the IEEE specs? AFAIK, they just used
the standard (IEEE's).

Surely others disagree... But the eliteness of such stances was the thing that
got other projects/stuff into problems in the first place.

I think there must be a way to work it all out with the least fuss and yet with
great extensibility, hence I value yer advice as much as the others...

geez, I love the UNIX community ;)
