Looks like this has been resolved.  However, if this is something you want 
to do on a regular basis, you might want to take a look at 

http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/articles/committers-guide/gnats.html

which explains how to keep a local copy of the GNATS repo up to date using 
CVSup -- then you can use local tools to query it.
