Yes.
Sometime between 3.0-RELEASE and -STABLE mjacob (sorry if my memory failed
me) made a overhaul of the tape support in CAM.

I dont remember exactly what rew of the firmware i have (this is my home
system), but i have used both releases that is on Exabytes homepage.

ok, so basically i need to upgrade to 3.0-STABLE before the drive will
work.  i was wondering if that would work.  do you know what version of
the firmware you have installed on your tape drive?  thanks....
