The modes were refused for "both" (clone/primary .. and I have no second display connected, only one.) displays/screens. I'm not trying to run dual head. (see log and config in previous message) http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-x11/2004-July/000684.html I reproduced the same problem with XFree86-4.4, but later found out that Option "NoDDC2", in monitor section solved the problem. I was then able to use 1280x1024 as I previously did with XFree86 4.3. Maybe corrupted, or otherwise incorrect, DDC data? Anyway, I'm happy with this finally working. --------------enig3EF89EAEA657646AFFBCF652 Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" Content-Description: OpenPGP digital signature Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="signature.asc" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.5 (FreeBSD) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFBIUj0H90qNYni6VoRAtIXAJ9uJQU2VbBxDWY73u3k4FQWG0pt/wCgvsf4 nEfi/fAgX4U2vlMG17cs6Nk= =O8Sy -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --------------enig3EF89EAEA657646AFFBCF652--
