When I type 'startx' I get a message that libc.so.3 cannot be found and also a note about /usr/libexec/ld-elf.so.1 I'm not sure how these two files are related. Is libc.so.3 contained in ld-elf.so, or called from it? I'm not sure what happened to this file(s) but I did a 'make' on XFree86 to see if the file(s) are produced there, but they don't seem to be a part of XFree86. I believe that libc.so may be a C-library provided by the system, and I may need to either ftp a new one or install a new system. Any help is very welcome.
