Similar results using the wavplay port (the one with no "e" in wave). This started happening after the August 2 /sys/dev/sound commits, and continues even with Cameron's subsequent commits from Aug. 31. Initially there was also a "hiccup" or dropout in the first second or so of play, but the latest round of commits seems to have eliminated that. OK, so I realize that in the big scheme of things this isn't so terribly important, but it's disheartening to trade a fully functional thingy for a slightly borken thingy right before a release. $ ~ > uname -v FreeBSD boston 4.4-RC FreeBSD 4.4-RC #0: Tue Sep 4 22:34:09 EDT 2001 $ ~ > cat /dev/sndstat FreeBSD Audio Driver (newpcm) Sep 4 2001 22:39:31 Installed devices: pcm0: at io 0x220 irq 5 drq 1:5 (1p/1r/0v channels duplex) Chris Giordano CGiordano@ids.net -- This is a court of law, young man, not a court of justice. -- Oliver Wendall Holmes To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
