Jordan,

Thanks for the tip on 2.0-950322-SNAP.  That made the difference.  I was able
to install the kernel portion of FreeBSD without the disk errors I was getting
before.  I do have a Micronics motherboard, so it would make sense that I 
would experience the problem with reading the floppies.

I'll try to install the rest of the system in the next few days.  First I have
to get my taxes done.  :-)
