I'd take a close look at "convert" from the ImageMagick pagkage, from your favourite ftp server or ftp://ftp.x.org/contrib/applications/ImageMagick/ImageMagick-3.6.1.tar.gz (the version # might have changed). I compiled it on 2.1-stable nearly OOTB. You'll have to fetch the latest JPEG library too, from ftp://ftp.uu.net/graphics/jpeg or any other source (should be called something like jpegv5b.tar.gz). If you have any problem building those, mail me. _Alain_ -- Alain FAUCONNET Ingenieur systeme - System Manager AP-HP/SIM Public Health 91 bld de l'Hopital 75013 PARIS FRANCE Medical Computing Research Labs Mail: af@biomath.jussieu.fr Tel: (+33) 1-40-77-96-19 Fax: (+33) 1-45-86-80-68 I've RTFMed.
