It looks like you've updated your sources since 3.2-RELEASE, but you have pre-3.3-RELEASE sources. Can you update your inetd sources to the latest ones? A number of bugs have been fixed in inetd since 1.46.2.8 and, although my money's on inetd.conf and hosts.allow, it's worth a shot updating. Ciao, Sheldon.
