> This is nothing exotic so why does it hang at "Probing devices"???? Usually IRQ or I/O address problems. Sometimes it's unreconized hardware. Also possible is that you may PNP OS enabled (or disabled) in the CMOS. For some reason that causes problems too, switching it to the other option works.
