Unlike Windows which is BIOS-friendly (able to open a full-screen DOS shell in 80x50 chars), the code in /sys/dev/fb/vga.c sux without comments about the values written to VGA registers. My video card is a special one for fixed-frequency monitors (SI87's Gemini3D with Permedia2 chip controlled by special BIOS). Which register holds the vertical frequency so I can comment out any change there ? Thanks for help to hack and add comments to this ugly code. ------------------------------------------------------------ PS: You should check out this great new site that I found. They've got free movies, music, email. It's really great! http://www.netbroadcaster.com To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-hardware" in the body of the message
