Hi. I've tried getting a reply to my problem with formatting my HD
under freeBSD (stated below), but unfortunately did not succeed with
the suggestion offered.
I've tried a couple of things since (see way below), and was wondering
if any of you might take a looksy to see if there are tell-tale signs
;-)

I've never done this, but you probably need to format the
partition (know in unix as a "slice"), not the disk.
The partition names go something like wd2s0.
/stand/sysinstall includes a menu items to partition and
format a disk.
