Run the scripts inside a Linux shell; this should get the right uname 
binary.  I have a sneaking suspicion that at the moment there's an 
issue in that a Linux-mode shell calling exec() on a #! binary will get 
a FreeBSD-mode interpreter, but you can work around that by sourcing 
the script directly.
