Install procmail and use one of the recipes described in the
man pages.

# detect duplicate message-ids
:0 Whc: msgid.lock
| formail -D 8192 msgid.cache

# backup duplicates
:0 a:
$MAILDIR/dups/$DAYFOLDER

Make these the first two in your .procmailrc
