Platform: FreeBSD 6.2-RELEASE-p3 firefox (firefox-2.0.0.3,1) crashes immediately upon startup for me. I rebuilt with the debugging/logging turned on and got the following output: WARNING: NS_ENSURE_TRUE(NS_SUCCEEDED(rv)) failed, file nsXREDirProvider.cpp, line 887 WARNING: NS_ENSURE_TRUE(NS_SUCCEEDED(rv)) failed, file nsToolkitProfileService.cpp, line 383 ###!!! ASSERTION: nsToolkitProfileService::Init failed!: 'Error', file nsToolkitProfileService.cpp, line 852 Break: at file nsToolkitProfileService.cpp, line 852 WARNING: NS_ENSURE_TRUE(NS_SUCCEEDED(rv)) failed, file nsAppRunner.cpp, line 1726 nsStringStats => mAllocCount: 5 => mReallocCount: 2 => mFreeCount: 5 => mShareCount: 2 => mAdoptCount: 0 => mAdoptFreeCount: 0 This is a brand new installation of FreeBSD 6.2 so there is no preexisting firefox detritus. -Ekr
