I have installed release 3.1 and searched the archives to find I needed a line 'device wst0' in the kernel. I added it and now the tape is configured when I boot. In /dev I found a driver rwst0. When I try to dump to the tape with the command dump -0u -f /dev/rwst0 /var it writes to the tape then I get an error atapi1.1 controller not ready, status=c0 and Sense Media Type Failed. What am I missing here? Thanks, Jim Chapman To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
