Basically here's what you do: -cp -R portname portname.bak -make all of the changes to modify the port in the portname directory -test it -when satisfied, diff -ruN portname.bak portname > file (check it to see that it's right). -Submit it to the ports team: * run send-pr, fill in the subject, from, etc fields * set confidential to no, synopsis to something like Update blah port to x.y.z version category to ports. * give a short description of the change in the Description field * read the file into the Fix section (:w ~/file, or whatever). * save it and it gets sent to us One of the ports team members will then have a look at it when time allows. Also check out http://www.freebsd.org/handbook/porting.html which may have more information for you. -Chris -- cpiazza@jaxon.net cpiazza@FreeBSD.org Abbotsford, BC, Canada To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-ports" in the body of the message
