Umm, I think the point of these postings are so that you know whether there is anything new for you to go and look at, in which case these postings may even reduce the number of visitors to the site. Personally, I don't think it's of any relevance whether the site makes any money from the number of visitors; the important thing is whether the users of this mailing list find it useful to see these emails, which I personally= do.
