My machine is running FreeBSD2.1.5 (straight off the CD) and has an entire class C of /32 inet aliases attached to the ethernet card. This is to facilitate a batch of virtual ftp servers. The problem is this. I also want to run named on the machine, and when I start it I get: Nov 22 10:32:40 dougal named[2019]: starting. named LOCAL-960717.011537 Wed Jul 17 01:15:37 1996 jkh@whisker.cdrom.com:/usr/src/usr.sbin/named Nov 22 10:32:40 dougal named[2019]: socket(SOCK_DGRAM): Too many open files - exiting I guess that named doesn't like binding inaddrany, how can this be solved? Cheers in advance for any help, All the best, Joe. -- Josef Karthauser (jlk@pavilion.net) Technical Manager [Tel: +44 1273 607072 Fax: +44 1273 607073] Pavilion Internet plc. ._ .. _. _ ._.. .. .._. . __. ._. ._ _. _..
