I've installed 2.0.5 on my hard drive, and everything runs fine until I reboot. I have a 1 gig Seagate harddrive that has 2099 cylinders. It came with a program that fooled Dos to read the hard drive even though my BIOS couldn't handle more than 1024 cylinders. I think this is causing a problem, but I'm not sure how to get around it. If I reinstall it with the boot sector below 1024, will it work? When I run pfdisk, it tells me that the boot needs to be at 1023,*,*. Is there a way to get around this without reinstalling it. It's taken me nearly two weeks to get a good installation, and now I can't get it to boot back up from the boot manager. HELP!!!!
