It updates hourly from cvsup-master.freebsd.org. Technically it is hosted on ftp.ecrc.net and this way has a direct 100 MBit/s full-duplex link to the Cable & Wireless ECRC 2 GBit/s back-bone network (which in turn is connected world-wide with several large links, each up to 622 MBit/s; see http://www.ecrc.de/netzwerk/netzwerk_backbone.html for details).
