I just downloaded the latest Emacs 20.3 for 3.0-current, and on my 3.0R
box, it doesn't do X.

It's not my X config here.  xclock for example works fine from this xterm.
I run emacs: 

     /usr/local/bin/emacs -q

emacs comes up in the xterm only (as if I'd given it the -nw option).

Any thoughts?
