That is how I got my DLT4000 drive: "does nothing, blinks all leds. You can have it for US$ 25" Guess what I did ;-) But yes, DLTs are really OK. Just pricing is a bit on the steep side, also for the media. But the media lasts and lasts (just don't drop the cartridges, they really hate that).
