Just to let you know that Realtek just released a new version of the driver:
v196.04

I haven't tried it yet, it looks like they added WOL support, too.

If loading the module from the loader overrides the one built into the kern=
el,
then I think I could add it into the ports tree, and finally I'll be able to
use freebsd-update / pkg upgrade to update my system.
