Turning off wide negotiations in my AHA-2940U2W bios
for all devices seems to fix my problem!  I now am
stuck somewhere else, but that's a different story.

The SCSI will now only run at 20Mhz instead of 80Mhz,
but at least it works.  The new driver sounds like it
will fix the wide negotiation.
