Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Sender: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG I just bought a Compaq VS server (Intel 486) with a NCR 53C710 SCSI controller. I tried to install FreeBSD 2.2.1 to it, but it could not find hard disk. The SCSI controller is not on supported hardware list. Is this controller supported in the newer version of FreeBSD ? Or is there any other way I can install FreeBSD to this machine ? Another small problem. I installed FreeBSD to a 486 based PC. It runs ok, except if I Ctrl+c out of a man-page, the Return key will be disabled (pressing Enter key will not go to a new line). I have to use reset command to make it work right again. Is there anything I can do ?
