If you ask in a FreeBSD mailing list, what answer do you expect ;-) Seriously, this is not a question anyone can answer because it depends on what you mean by "better". I suggest you - Look if your hardware is suppported. - Look in lists like this and in news groups how easy it is to get help. - Take one or two questions like "How do I install a printer", "How do I install a sound card" and look around at "www.freebsd.org" and "www.linux.org" and see how easy it is to find out. I chosed FreeBSD mainly because there is a "team" supporting it and because I have a friend that has used FreeBSD for a long time and could give me advice. As you probably noticed my answer is all about "information", I want to avoid frustration when I administer my setup. /kgb
