Mike, I've already started porting tpctl to FreeBSD, since I run FreeBSD on a Thinkpad and have felt the need for such a tool. IMHO, it should be a fairly easy porting job since tpctl and friends are rather well written. My porting will be a rewrite for many reasons, not least of which is the licensing.
