Yup, works pretty well for me too.  This is on one of the recent
Microwarehouse 560Es.

I notice this only at 24-bit color with certain types of images; eg. the 
horrid default fvwm2 default faded-purple background.  Don't notice it at
16 bits, nor do I notice it displaying most other things at 24-bit.
