The debugger stuff reminds that DDD is trying to support Java via jdb:
ftp://ftp.ips.cs.tu-bs.de/pub/local/softech/ddd/current/

I am hoping that DDD in the near future will be able to do a decent job. Maybe
one of the hackers is up to the job of tracking down the bugs in DDD/Java.
You can run an app , set a break point , and browse at the data structures or
source; however, if you interrupt a running app jdb seems hang.
