You want to talk about abuse? Just look at the IRC logs. I've played nice with the UCRED stuff, and so far all I have to show for it is 10 days of sitting on my buns with a perfectly good set of patches sleeping in my tree. But that will be the last time. If someone is actually actively working on something I will not tromp all over their feet. I do not consider letting a patch go stale in a private tree for months on end to be 'actively working on something'. I do not consider having hundreds of kilobytes of uncomitted patches covering almost every source file in sys/ over a period of a year or more to be 'actively working on something', and neither should anyone else in this list. I can work with Alfred's suggestion but only if it's used in the right way. I will absolutely not accept someone like JHB asking me to wait *every* *single* *time* I have a contribution. Some times, sure. But not *every* time. That is abuse of the project in my opinion. -Matt Matthew Dillon To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe cvs-all" in the body of the message
