Hello,
I've recently set up my first FreeBSD box, and am considering
turning it into a packet-filtering router for a small LAN. From my ISP
(dedicated ADSL line), I've been assigned a few of my own static IP
addresses (not an entire subnet). Is there a way I can properly set up
an inet-connected LAN, including the filtering router, using these IPs?
I've been attempting this myself, but have been unsuccessful. Since the
IP addresses themselves are from the same subnet, the routing table
seems to be looking for all the hosts on one interface (NIC), and
ignoring the other.
Forgive me if I'm saying or doing something very obviously wrong
here; I'm new to networking. :)
Thanks,
Ken Draper
