As an outsider, I was wondering, too, w= hy there is some activity in some areas, but mostly x11@ is silent. Maybe we should say somewhere (where?) that just pretty much anyone is free= to step in. I am using a pretty obsolete hardware that requires older binary Nvidia dri= ver, and all this new KMS stuff is not for me.
