In that case, it should be found. Many people build systems that have the CD-ROM as SLAVE device on a channel with no MASTER and then complain that "Windows works, but *BSD*" does not. The fact that Windows breaks the standard and probes those devices is completely lost on them. Your case appears to *NOT* be that case.
