Actually i have a router (194.69.194.225/255.255.255.224) connected to Internet by a leased line.

My network is subdivised into two subnetworks (one with public IP address for web hosting) and another with private address.

For security i use a firewall.

My computer has a official address (194.69.194.235) and for gateway firewall (194.69.194.226).

I have not problems to access to Internet, these configuration works since one year.

For different reasons (not efficacity of firewall) I want make a thirdh network use BSD as gateway and firewall.

But i have a "strange" problem, probably in my BSD configuration.

I explain it:

My "external" network interface connected to my router has 194.69.194.231/255.255.255.224 address

My "Internal" network Interface connected to thirdh network has 198.208.124.172/255.255.255.224 address

Defaultrouter = "194.69.194.225"

gateway_enable="YES"

router_enable="YES"

router="routed"

in resolv.conf, i have 2 entries of DNS servers:

194.69.192.70 #primary

194.69.192.71 #secondary

netstat -nr give:

default 194.69.194.225

When i make a ping from this PC (www.altavista.com): results are good

But the "BIG" problem was when I connect a client (win95) on the "Internal" interface:

Client configuration is:

IP: 198.208.124.175/255.255.255.224

Gateway: 198.208.124.172

DNS: 192.69.192.70 and 192.69.192.71

when i make a ping of 198.208.124.172 or 194.69.194.231, results are good but, when i try a ping on my router(194.69.194.225) or on a Internet address, i have no connection !

Can you help me to confirm BSD configuration ?

please reply on foubertp@d-f.be

Thanks,
