As per our Internet security policy, only the SOCKS server permitted to send/receive traffic via the inet gateway. Unfortunately, our some of the hosts on our network are prevented from reaching the SOCKS server by a second firewall. Again, due to security policy it is not permissable for the SOCKS server to talk across the internal firewall. In order to provide minimal Internet connectivity (via Netscape only) to hosts on the wrong side of the internal firewall, I'd like to set up a proxy web server which can send all act as a gateway to the SOCKS server. In a nutshell, I'd like to accept proxy requests and pass them on to the SOCKS server. The SOCKS server is running SunOS 4.x, and the proxy server is running FreeBSD 2.1.0 and CERN httpd. Can this be done? -- Brant Katkansky (brantk@atlas.com) Systems Test Engineer, ADC
