  KERNEL SW Development Engineer

Although this position is posted on a FreeBSD site, we are seeking one =20=

who may be willing to work with a Linux kernel engineering team.  =20
Those who have FreeBSD Kernel experience but no Linux experience are =20
strongly encouraged to apply, as it is the overall experience we are =20
seeking.   In this position you will work with a very senior, dynamic, =20=

and diverse team of SW engineers and contribute to a variety of Linux =20=

and Linux-kernel projects on various MIPS platforms. You should be an =20=

enthusiastic self starter, mentor, and a good communicator with a =20
strong desire to succeed.  You must be willing and able to work well =20
independently as well as in a team environment, and be interested Open =20=

Source community resources and related activities.

Requirements
  ~  10+ years of overall experience

~  5+ years of experience in an embedded systems environment.

~  7+ years experience with Linux, FreeBSD, or other similar OS =20
internals and kernel programming

~  Ability to interact with members of a diverse team =96 HW, SW apps, =20=

benchmarking.

~  Must have very good communication skills and be a self starter.

~  Excellent embedded C and C++ skills and knowledge of assembler.

~  Good understanding of and experience with kernel internals (e.g. =20
SMP locking, cache coherency, VM management) and device drivers.

~  Experience with Open-source community resources and ability and =20
desire to actively participate.

~  Good knowledge of source-code management systems =96 git and others.

~  Knowledge of MIPS architecture is a plus

~  Familiarity and experience with Android a plus.

~  Familiarity and experience with Adobe Flash is a plus.

~ MSCS or equivalent
