https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D278715 Bug ID: 278715 Summary: lang/python311: make libmpdec a hard dependency Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Many People Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: python@FreeBSD.org Reporter: skrah@bytereef.org Assignee: python@FreeBSD.org Flags: maintainer-feedback?(python@FreeBSD.org) According to various CPython issues the C version of decimal is now assumed= to be always present. Example: https://github.com/python/cpython/issues/118164 I think it might be a good idea to remove the libmpdec optional install and make it a hard dependency like libffi. Arch Linux has just done the same: https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/packaging/packages/python/-/issue= s/10 --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
