I think I may have been slightly wrong on what ailed the graphics/ gd port (apologies to mi), but if it's fixed, this is a moot point. On the successful make release mentioned above, you *did* build docs right? Only reason I'm asking is that I've never personally seen an alpha release with RELNOTESng, so I'm just guessing that all of the alpha-dependent content built correctly for the release (as opposed to when I do RELNOTESng snapshots).
