I am trouble to get the kernel to recognize the Intel EtherExpress
PRO/100.

	Here is the system setup:
		Using: FreeBSD 4.4 Lite (release: 2.1.7)
		Distrib: Walnut Creek Cdrom (www.cdrom.com)

	     System:
		Intel Pentium 100MHz CPU
		PCI/ISA Motherboard
		32MB Ram
		Intel EtherExpress PRO/100 (ISA)
			Port I/O: 300	IRQ: 10

		Cirrus Logic PCI VGA card
		HD:-	Conner CFS1275A		1.2GB
		CD:-	Mitsumi IDE CD-ROM	(CRMC-FX400D1)
			recognized as "wcd0"

	Steps took to customize the kernel:
		1) copied the GENERIC kernel template (/usr/sys/src/i386/conf/GENERIC)
			as POSTOFFICE
		2) used 'vi' and commented out any net devices that used I/O:300,
IRQ:10
		3) executed: '/usr/sbin/config POSTOFFICE'
		4) change directory to '../../compile/POSTOFFICE'
		5) issue a 'make' to build a new kernel
		6) after build, issue a 'make install'.
		7) issue 'shutdown -r now' to restart the system

	after system started, the kernel could still not recognize the ethernet
card
	reports:
		  :{other stuff}
		  ix0 not found at 0x300
		  :{other stuff}

	I checked in the /dev directory for ix0 but there was none.

	Attached is the config file 'POSTOFFICE'. I would appreciate if you
could get me an answer for this problem immediately.
