That's why I thought the question worthy of post to freebsd-mobile and freebsd-stable as well. The question remains. When the CDROM is attached, it moves the disk from /dev/wd0 to /dev/wd1 and inserts itself as /dev/wd0, fouling up /etc/fstab and causing a panic. Is there a good way to detect the CD in /etc/rc so I can select an /etc/fstab as a function of whether the CD is attached? -- David E.
