My old Miro S3 SD20 PCI and some other. The other one has also 2 MB and works better with the monitor. But isnt the S3 somehow "accelerated" ? I am hesitating to give the S3 for the Cirrus and prefer to wait for a better monitor but maybe the Cirrus isnt much worse. Well, newbies lowtech problems..... Google didnt tell me anything usefull, exept that the Cirrus goes with the SVGA server. The Miro S3 has the strange problem, that it doesnt display fonts with anything better than the VGA16 server. Maybe I can disable some SVGA or S3 feature. Instead of fonts, there are just stripes. Or nothing. Maybe this has something to do with hardware acceleration, which isnt ok with this braindead old monitor here, some 100 miles away from home.. H.
