I put 2.2.6 on the SCSI. I have 2.2.5 on my old IDE. I cannot boot from the SCSI but I can mount it. I keep my root partition on the IDE with version 2.2.5 kernel and binaries. All other partitions are on the SCSI with 2.2.6 binaries. Am I flirting with disaster by mixing and matching my versions? I haven't noticed any troubles yet. What problems might I incur? I will eventually get around to moving 2.2.6 stuff over to the IDE drive. I just need to know if there is a pressing concern. Thank you, | Try some of this. It will show you where you're at.
