Greetings,

I have just recently installed Freebsd release 3.3 on my Dell Optiplex5150
system. I am currently having a problem of initializing the ethernet card
which is intergrated with the motherboard. I believe it is probed as 3c5x9 at
0x250. However, I can not seem to get it going. I edited the rc.conf file
and added statement interfaces="ed0" and give it an IP address of 10.0.0.1 but
for some reasons it would not show up after I rebooted. I verified it by
issuing ifconfig -a. Is there any thing else I needed to do to get this card
going? Your advise is much appreciated.

Sincerely,
Eric
