Well, whether you run freshclam in daemon mode or whether you run it from
cron is still up to you :).  This doesn't force people to use freshclam
in daemon mode, it just provides them with a standard method of doing so
if they choose to (as the PR submitter did).  Its a tool, not a policy :).
