 I went from a 4 GB drive to a 40 GB drive and I didn't have to reinstall
anything. I used the information at FreeBSD Cheat Sheets:

 Under "Advanced Topics" you'll find a link "Moving to a Larger Hard
Drive". The concept worked perfectly. I am running FreeBSD 4.4.
