I just found out that there's a scsi-specific ML and perhaps I'll now find the answer to the question which u320-pci-x scsi controller is recommended for use with freebsd (6.2). I read some drivers (amr, cis, mpt, iir), but I'm still not sure which card would do best with freebsd. I have a adaptec 39320 lying on my desk, but the system (dell sc1425) freez= es under heavy load [0]. I am using this script [1] to get it freezing, although it does _NOT_ work all the time. As our aim is to get the server fast up and running again we decided to try another scsi controller, but the big question is: Which one? Thanks for any hint, Nico [0]: http://home.schottelius.org/~nico/unix/freebsd/sc1425-freezing-20070604 [1]: http://home.schottelius.org/~nico/unix/freebsd/testdisks.sh --=20 Think about Free and Open Source Software (FOSS). http://nico.schottelius.org/documentations/foss/the-term-foss/ PGP: BFE4 C736 ABE5 406F 8F42 F7CF B8BE F92A 9885 188C --J/dobhs11T7y2rNN Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" Content-Description: Digital signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFGZsX2uL75KpiFGIwRAqdYAJ9P7YBLEwnXboquSdmagEICcfwQBgCeJLzY cSzer3r2qsXcibRv3FpMiKk= =GMbR -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --J/dobhs11T7y2rNN--
