In that driver's Makefile we see # No Radeon kernel driver on non-x86 and PC98. ONLY_FOR_ARCHS= i386 amd64 but it's still depended on by default in x11-drivers/xorg-drivers/Makefile . I think the following fix is needed -- but is it complete?
